Personal Pronouns
Subject Form
Subject pronouns replace the noun performing the action in a sentence.
Example:
Hamad eats breakfast in the morning.
He eats breakfast in the morning.
Object Form
Object pronouns replace the noun receiving the action in a sentence.
Example:
Hamad eats breakfast in the morning.
Hamad eats it in the morning.
Possessive Adjectives and Pronouns
Possessive Adjective
Possessive adjectives clarify who or what owns something. They go before nouns to modify them.
Example:
Hamad likes Hamad's car.
Hamad likes his car.
Possessive Pronouns
Possessive Pronouns show possession of a noun by replacing it.
Example:
Hamad's house is bigger than my house.
Hamad's house is bigger than mine.
Reflexive Pronouns
Reflexive Pronouns refer back to a person or thing. We often use them when the subject and the object are the same.
Example:
Sara looked at Sara in the mirror.
Sara looked at herself in the mirror.
